West Center Street Likely To Be Closed Beginning Thursday
WARSAW — West Center Street will be closed from Columbia Street to West Market Street beginning Thursday, April 11, for road repairs, but that is dependent on weather conditions.
The work could take one to three days, according to a statement posted on the city’s Facebook page.
Public Works Superintendent Jeff Beeler said the work will involve significant patching of potholes. That stretch of road will be repaved after more underground work is complete. Repaving is expected to happen possibly within a few weeks.
City officials ask motorists to plan an alternate route during the work. Residents should maintain access to their homes or nearby parking at most times.
Inclement weather could delay the work. The forecast for Thursday calls for dry and breezy conditions with a high near 71. There is a significant chance of rain Thursday night and Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
