BOURBON – Neither Triton nor Tippecanoe Valley were able to finish what they started Wednesday afternoon.

Triton held a 2-1 court lead on visiting Tippecanoe Valley before rain halted play.

Triton won at No. 1 and No. 3 singles, with Molly McFarland getting over on Mackenzie Costello three and love and Ivy Powell topping Gigi Engstrand one and love.

Tippecanoe Valley secured the No. 2 doubles court with Haley Baker and Kaitlin Neese beating Haley Hooley and Madison Davis one and two.

The two suspended courts have Valley out front. At No. 2 singles, Hannah Parson leads Maddie Ritchison 3-6, 6-4, 3-2 and at No. 1 doubles, Tiphanie Hodge and Makenna Bradley lead Emma Hepler and Lexia Hostrawser 1-6, 6-4, 3-1.

Valley won both JV courts. Mallory Durkes handled Lilly Hubert 8-3 and in doubles, Jillian Walls and Peyton Oldham defeated Hubert and Sadie Barber 8-2.

Both coaches reported a desire to resume the match at a later date, but one was not immediately set.

Both teams are scheduled to play Thursday, Tippy at home against Knox and Triton on the road at NorthWood.
