WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested on drug charges after officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle reported stolen.
Jason Foster Sizemore, 41, 4179 Runkle Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; theft, a class A misdemeanor; and sentence enhancement theft, a level 6 felony.
On March 23, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department observed a vehicle on Lake City Highway that had been reported stolen on July 19, 2018.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer conducted a traffic stop in the Walmart parking lot and identified the driver as Sizemore. Sizemore advised the vehicle belonged to a male subject and that he had placed a different date sticker on the vehicle’s registration plate. He also admitted he had syringes and methamphetamine in the vehicle.
A K-9 unit conducted an outer air search of the vehicle and made a positive alert. While searching the vehicle, officers found a metal tin containing a white crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Officers also found two syringes in the vehicle.
Sizemore has already been arrested and released on his own recognizance. He has an initial hearing at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, April 11.
