Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
9:32 a.m. Thursday, April 4, North CR 800W, south of West CR 400N, Atwood. Driver: Richard L. Hubbard, 40, Freeman Street, Wabash. Hubbard told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on CR 800W and that he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway on the east side and strike a tree before rolling over. Hubbard complained of pain to the shoulder and upper arm and was transported by ambulance to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
10:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, North SR 13 and East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Driver: Tyler A. Parker, 29, East CR 350N, Pierceton. Parker told police he was driving his vehicle south on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
11:31 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, Crystal Lake Road, east of South CR 600W, Warsaw. Drivers: Dennis F. Bender, 76, Apple Court, Winona Lake; and Joseph A. Schenske, 65, East Gault Street, Atwood. According to the police report, Bender stated that Schenske’s left turn signal was on for more than a mile. Bender advised that when he attempted to pass Schenske’s vehicle, Schenske made a left turn and struck Bender’s vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
