UPDATE — Driver Of Rolled SUV Doesn’t Recall Moments Prior To Crash
WARSAW — A Claypool woman told police she didn’t recall the events leading up to the Tuesday afternoon rollover crash that resulted in her husband being transported to a local hospital.
Debora L. Parker, 49, 405 S. Graceland Avenue, Claypool, was driving a black Jeep SUV when police said she recalled overcorrecting, but could not remember anything afterward. Police said the vehicle left the east side of SR 15 on two occasions before rolling down a steep embankment and coming to rest on its top. The accident occurred at 4:54 p.m. April 2, on SR 15, north of West CR 350S, south of Warsaw.
Although Parker complained of pain, she declined medical treatment. However, her passenger, John H. Parker, 48, suffered facial injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the vehicle damaged a fence when it rolled down the embankment and into a privately-owned field. The total damage estimate was set at up to $10,000.
The accident was investigated by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
