Edward L. “Ed” Chivington, 66, North Webster, passed away at 8:35 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 26, 1952, in Fort Wayne, to Eugene and Mary (Reichard) Chivington.
He graduated in 1970 from West Noble High School and on March 25, 1972, in Fort Wayne he married Gloria J. Huffman, who died April 2. He retired from Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw after six years and formerly worked at Dana Corporation in Syracuse for 20+ years. He was a lifetime Noble and Kosciusko County area resident and lived in the North Webster area for over 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and tinkering in the garage fixing things.
He is survived by his twin daughters: Stacey (Rich) Vester, Syracuse; Tracey (Steve) Harris, Columbia City; son, Joseph Chivington, Warsaw; six grandchildren and two great- grandchildren; brother, David Chivington, Cromwell.
He was preceded by his parents, son, Craig Chivington, two sisters, Ruth Neal and Karen Mertens, and two brothers, Joseph and Bob Chivington.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Private family services will take place at a later date. Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
