Area Police Reports
Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 8:21 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 100 block of West Church Street, Leesburg. Police responded to the Daniel Harper residence to investigate the theft of a transformer from a job site. Value: $5,000.
- 6:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 4100 block of West Sunset Shore Drive, Silver Lake. Police responded to the Jeremy Scutchfield residence to investigate a report of an animal bite.
- 8:52 p.m. Monday, April 1, 6900 block of South CR 1000W, Mentone. Police reported to the Shandi Green residence to investigate a theft of a purse. Taken was a brown purse with a duck on the front, along with a credit card, driver’s license and medical insurance card. Value: $25.
- 1:31 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 100 block of EMS T13E Lane, Leesburg. Police responded to the James Moryl residence to investigate a theft from a lake cottage. Taken were three wakeboards, tools, a tool box, a cordless drill, a 32-inch television, blue jeans and a cordless drill set. Damage: $1,102.
- March 27, 3700 block of West Old Road 30, Warsaw. Police responded to the Jolea Farmer residence to investigate a check fraud. Damage: $1,400.
Silver Lake
Officers from the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 600 block of North Jefferson Street, Silver Lake. Police responded to the Jenny Edmonds residence to investigate the theft of a bottle of hydrocodone.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following incident:
- 8:23 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2800 block of Widaman Street, Winona Lake. Police responded to the Ronald Shavers residence to investigate an attempted break-in. Damage: $1,000.
