James A. “Jim” Goddard — UPDATED
James A. “Jim” Goddard, 72, Leesburg, passed away at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, at his residence.
He was born on June 2, 1946, in Plymouth, to Vernon & Maxine E. (Morris) Goddard.
He was a lifetime area resident and graduated in 1965 from North Webster High School. On July 23, 1965, in Leesburg, he married Margaret J. “Maggie” Burns, who preceded him on Feb. 24, 2010. He retired in 2006 from Zimmer, Inc. in Warsaw, where he worked in the shipping department. He was formerly employed at Monarch Lumber Company, Syracuse and Lyall Electric,North Webster.
He attended church at the Grace Village Chapel in Winona Lake and formerly attended the Calvary Baptist Church in Oswego.
He is survived by two grandchildren: Jeff Goddard, Warsaw; and Jill Goddard, North Webster; five great-grandchildren, and a sister: Janet Bell, Winona Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son: David Goddard, and a sister: Carolyn Goddard.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday April 1, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the funeral home with Pastor Richard Anderson officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Burial will take place at a later date in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
