Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
5:05 a.m. Thursday, March 28, on SR 14, west of South CR 925W, near Akron. Driver: Jonathan Ramos, 18, West Old Road 30, #628, Warsaw. Ramos said he fell asleep and that his vehicle left the road and hit a guy wire. Damage: Up to $10,000.
12:39 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, on South Country Club Road and East CR 400S, south of Warsaw. Drivers: Gwendolyn Ostrom, 64, East CR 900S, Claypool; Carol Bartley, 54, South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Ostrom was eastbound of 400S, and entered the intersection when she was struck by Bartley’s vehicle. Bartley and a passenger of Bartley’s, Shelly Gilley, West CR 75N, Etna Green, were taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. Damage: Up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
8:29 a.m. Thursday, March 28, at 355 Baker St., Warsaw. Driver: Zachary Lalonde, 17, South Meadows Driver, Warsaw. Lalonde said he was backing out of a driveway and struck a parked vehicle parked along Baker Street. The other vehicle was registered to Herschel Sears, West Baker Street, Warsaw. Damage: Up to $2,500.
6:30 a.m. Thursday, March 28, on North Detroit Street, north of Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Bryce Sears. 22, Kings Court, Winona Lake; Regina Wadkins, 61, South CR 800W, Kimmell. Both motorists were headed south on North Detroit. Wadkins said she sneezed and her foot hit the gas, causing her vehicle to hit the back of Sears’ vehicle. Damage: Up to $2,500.
8:59 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, North Parker Street, near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Caitlin J. Ryser, 45, Barrington Place, Warsaw; and Karen S. Thomas, 78, Sharon Street, Winona Lake. Ryser was traveling north on North Parker Street when Thomas’ vehicle entered her lane of travel from the right line, causing a collision. Damage up to $2,500.
