WARSAW — A Warsaw female was arrested after allegedly stealing approximately $6,000 from her employer.
Jolene Marie Swihart, 36, 521 Clinic Court, Warsaw, is being charged with theft, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 19, an officer with the Warsaw City Police Department was dispatched to the Dollar General store in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, the officer met with the loss prevention manager at Dollar General.

The loss prevention manager estimated that Swihart stole approximately $6,000 over the past year.
Swihart was taken to the Warsaw Police Department where she allegedly admitted to taking money from Dollar General; however, she stated it was closer to $2,000. She admitted to making false returns of items she ever purchased and to crediting return funds to her personal credit card.
