Bell Memorial Public Library To Host Instant Pot Class
MENTONE — The Bell Memorial Public Library has many popular television series, both new and old, on DVD that are available for check-out.
Series that are currently available at the library include “Petticoat Junction,” “A Place To Call Home,” “Rawhide, “Reba” and “Remington.” Several of the library’s television series such as “Mountain Men” haven’t circulated in quite some time. Hurry in and check out your favorites before they disappear.
Preschool story hour takes place at 10 a.m. every Friday in the library’s children’s room. The theme for Friday, March 22, is Little Red Riding Hood. Stories to be read are “Red Riding Hood Was Rotten” by Trisha Shaskan and “Little Red Riding Hood” by Harriet Ziefert. Children can make storytelling props for their craft.
Are you new to Hoopla Digital? Check out these recently added titles: “Eight Days” by John Gottman, “Love on Location” by Cassidy Carter and “Healing Hearts” by Sharon M. Eden. Recently added children’s titles include “Chicks Rule” by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen and “Please Please the Bees” by Gerald Kelley.
Bell Memorial Public Library is currently working on having old microfilm, pictures, documents and other Mentone history digitized. This is a work in progress and it will take some time, but the goal is to make the material available in the catalog so that you can peruse at your own convenience on your own computer, tablet or other device.
Euchre club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, in the library’s large conference room.
This month’s library board meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 25. Board meetings are open to the public and members of the public are encouraged to attend.
On April 2, the library will be hosting a “Cooking Under Pressure” class that educates about using an Instant Pot. Jackie Franks from the Kosciusko County Extension Office will be leading the class. There is no cost to participate; however, the library staff asks that you sign up in advance so that they have an idea of how many plan to join them. Please contact Billie at (574) 353-7234 for more information.
