Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
12:38 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, SR 14, west of South CR 500W, Silver Lake. Driver: Teresa Crews, 39, Roosevelt Street, Silver Lake. Crews’ vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
1:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, East CR 500N and Baldwin Road, North Webster. Drivers: Stephen Ledgerwood, 29, CR 500N, Leesburg; and Philip Schutter, 75, EMS B61 Lane, Warsaw. Both vehicles continued into the intersection at the same time, causing the collision. Damages up to $10,000.
7:40 a.m. Monday, March 18, West CR 600N, east of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Driver: Carolyn Sudlow, 70, CR 600N, Warsaw. Sudlow’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
12:24 p.m. Sunday, March 17, North Etna and West Harrison streets, Mentone. Driver: Sasha West, 18, Pansy Court, Bourbon. West was driving her vehicle around the curve and lost control of her vehicle, which left the roadway, struck a sign and went down a steep ditch. Damages up to $2,500.
4:02 p.m. Saturday, March 16, South SR 25 and South CR 400W, Warsaw. Drivers: Timothy Swick, 36, Palestine 1st Street, Mentone; and Denise Hankins, 25, CR 200S, Warsaw. Swick’s vehicle was eastbound on SR 25 and attempted to make a left turn onto CR 400W. Swick’s vehicle entered into the path of Hankins’ vehicle, causing a collision. No injuries were reported. Damages up to $25,000.
6:43 a.m. Saturday, March 16, South CR 900E, north of East CR 250S, Pierceton. Driver: Jack Huber, 43, EMS R3E Lane, Pierceton. Huber’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, SR 15, south of Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Heather Rush, 43, Sarah Street, South Whitley; and Darleen Hunter, 58, Fawn Avenue, Warsaw. Rush was stopped at the intersection when her son told her to “go” because the light had changed. Rush began driving without realizing that the rest of traffic had not begun to move yet, causing her vehicle to rear-end Hunter’s vehicle. Hunter complained of pain in her face and neck but declined medical services. Damages up to $2,500.
2:35 p.m. Monday, March 18, US 30 and Old Road 30, Warsaw. Drivers: Angela Morris, 42, Park Road, Kokomo; and Daniel Bales, 62, River Vista Drive, Goshen. Traffic was stopped at the intersection when Morris’ vehicle rear-ended Bales’ vehicle. Damages up to $10,000.
