Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
12:54 a.m. Monday, March 11, SR 15, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Jessica C. Steinhiser, 23, Walnut Farm Court, South Bend. Steinhiser’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
12:28 a.m. Monday, March 11, SR 14, east of South CR 600E, North Manchester. Driver: Brandon L. Fugate, 20, South CR 900W, Larwill. Fugate advised that a deer entered the roadway and when Fugate attempted to avoid a collision he lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle went off the road and through a field before striking a tree. Damage up to $10,000.
8:53 p.m. Sunday, March 10, East Pierceton Road, west of South CR 350E, Winona Lake. Driver: Samantha A. McLeish, 21, Tonkel Road, Auburn. McLeish’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
3:54 a.m. Sunday, March 10, West CR 400N, east of North CR 150W, Warsaw. Driver: Carmen E. Carreon, 32, Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Carreon advised that his vehicle went off the south side of the road due to the wind. The vehicle struck a mailbox and went into a ditch. Damage up to $5,000.
3:50 a.m. Sunday, March 10, North CR 750W, north of West CR 650N, Etna Green. Driver: Kyle Lemler, 37, West CR 800N, Nappanee. Lemler’s vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and a tree. Damage up to $25,000.
1:29 p.m. Saturday, March 9, SR 15, south of West Union Street, Warsaw. Driver: Nicholas A. Irvine, 26, Center Street, Tippecaoe. Irvine’s vehicle went off the roadway, into a ditch and grazed a utility pole. Damage up to $2,500.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
4:09 a.m. Friday, March 8, West CR 1350N, east of North CR 200W, Milford. Driver: Reatha Weaver, North CR 600W, Nappanee. Weaver’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
12:07 p.m. Sunday, March 10, Marine Key Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Royce W. Smith, 18, SR 5, Larwill. Smith was backing his vehicle out of a driveway and struck a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:20 p.m. Sunday, March 10, SR 15, south of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Amanda N. West, 16, Ashford Court, Warsaw; and DeShawn A. Dietrich, 25, East CR 115S, Winona Lake. West was turning left when her vehicle struck the front right portion of Dietrich’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
4:02 p.m. Sunday, March 10, SR 15, north of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Joshua A. Young, 35, Fisher Avenue, Warsaw; and Mary Q. Corwin, 60, Chamberlin Drive, Warsaw. Young’s vehicle rear-ended Corwin’s vehicle. Corwin complained of neck pain but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $10,000.
4:46 p.m. Saturday, March 9, East Center Street and North Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: April L. Neuhaus, 34, Kings Highway, Winona Lake; and Steven L. Bowers, 51, Wintergreen Way, New Haven. Neuhaus’ vehicle rear-ended Bowers’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
5:11 p.m. Friday, March 8, US 30, east of North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Mark Manns, 53, South Fisher Street, Knox; and Kimberly A. Koscher, 40, Indiana Avenue, Fort Wayne. Manns’ vehicle rear-ended Koscher’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:37 p.m. Friday, March 8, Provident Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Paul J. Haney, 93, Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake. Haney was backing his vehicle into a parking spot when his vehicle struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $1,000.
2:54 p.m. Friday, March 8, Detroit Street, north of Pope Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Riley Johnson, 24, Maple Run, Warsaw; and Donna Pantle, 73, Arrowhead Drive, Rochester. Johnson’s vehicle rear-ended Pantle’s vehicle while stopping for a train. Damages up to $5,000.
