Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
7:58 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, 2150 Stonebridge Road, near Warsaw. Driver: Remington W. Swanson, 18, Marjorie Street, Winona Lake. Parked vehicle was registered to Timothy Hoffer. Stonebridge Road. Remington told police he was backing his Bavarian out of a driveway, began to turn and the front of his vehicle struck the parked Ford F-150 pickup. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
1:28 p.m., Monday, Feb. 25, intersection of SR 15 and Poor Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Travis R. Green, 33, Lake Street, Syracuse; Corinna Mickelson, 54, Woodland Hills Drive, Warsaw. Green said he was southbound on SR 15 when he looked away momentarily. When he looked back, he realized the vehicle ahead had slowed and he did not have time to stop and his vehicle rear-ended the other. Mickelson said she slowed for a vehicle ahead of her and was rear-ended. Damage up to $2,500.
8:15 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, intersection of Mariners Drive and North Pointe Drive in Warsaw. Drivers: Steven S. Possell, 56, Fox Run Drive, Syracuse; Ciara N Wolf, 24, Columbia Parkway, Columbia City. Possell was headed westbound on North Pointe Drive and stopped at the intersection. He said he did not see Wolf headed southbound pulling into the intersection and the two vehicles collided. Wolf said by the time Possell pulled into the intersection, she did not have time to stop. Possell had bleeding to his mouth and head and was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital. Wolf complained of pain to her right knee, but refused treatment. Damage up to $5,000.
