Bonnie J. Summe
Bonnie J. Summe, 87, Albion, passed away on Wednesday Feb 20, 2019, at Parkview Noble Hospital.
She was born on Oct 7, 1931, in Kosciusko County to the late Jackson and Pauline (Personette) Adams.
She married Robert “Bob” Summe on Nov. 11, 1950. He preceded her in death in 1977. She served the citizens of Noble County as an elected official for 24 years; 16 years as Treasurer of Noble County from 1981-1988 and again from 1997-2004, and eight years as Noble County Clerk of the Circuit Court from 1989-1996.
She also worked with the Noble County Sheriff Department for several years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion and a member of the Order of the Easter Star Prentiss Chapter.
Mrs. Summe is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Butch) Knafel of Albion; four grandchildren: Tonya (Jerry) Jones, Tammy (Dave) Bremer, Tony (Lesley) Knafel and Todd (Missy) Knafel; and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Raymond Adams and Jim (Margaret) Adams both of Akron.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Adams.
Funeral service is 11 a.m., Monday, Feb 25, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 706 N Orange St, Albion, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb 24, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion.
