UPDATE — Minor Injuries In Monday’s Warsaw Crash
WARSAW — Two people were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries after a vehicle ran a red light on Monday, Feb. 18.
The accident occurred around 3:38 p.m. at South Scott Street, near East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Barbara Mendoza Juarez, 30, Wooster Road 8, Winona Lake; was traveling westbound on Winona Avenue when her vehicle ran a red traffic light at an intersection. Mendoza Juarez told officers, through a translator, that she believed she had a green light. Surveillance video at A&A Auto Sales was reviewed by officers and confirmed that Mendoza Juarez did run a red light.
As a result of running the red light, Mendoza Juarez’s vehicle struck a vehicle being driven through the intersection by Jeremy J. Bever, 41, East Center Street, Warsaw.
Mendoza Juarez was transported to Parkview Hospital for head pain. A passenger in Mendoza Juarez’s vehicle, Anna V. Ramirez-Mendoza, 12, Winona Lake, complained of neck pain due to the accident and was also transport for treatment.
Damages from the accident were estimated at up to $50,000.
