Trojans Fall In Final Regular Season Home Game
BOURBON — Triton lost its final home game of the regular season, 55-48, to visiting Bremen Tuesday night.
The Trojans fell behind 12-4 in the first period and never once led in the contest, which represented the team’s fourth loss in five games. Bremen shot 48.5 percent (16-of-33) from the floor — including 7-of-18 from 3-point range — while the Trojans converted just 31.7 percent (13-of-41) of their field goal attempts. The Lions also made 11-of-16 free throws, while the home team converted only half of just six attempts from the charity stripe.
Ashton Oviedo scored 11 points, while Keegan Westafer scored five, and Lucas Richman and Tyler Heckaman each chipped in four for Triton. Beau Hepler passed out four assists, and Tye Orsund finished with six rebounds and two steals for Triton (8-13).
Justin Zumbrun scored 16 points with five steals and three assists to lead Bremen. Brooks Feldman finished with nine points, and Bryce Ginter scored eight for the Lions (9-12).
Triton’s JV won in overtime, meanwhile, 36-29.
Pacing the JV Trojans was Bruce Johnson with 13 points on 5-of-10 accuracy from the floor. Tony Hardin led Bremen’s junior varsity with 12 points.
Triton will close out both the regular season and its Hoosier North Athletic Conference slate at Knox Friday night at 8 p.m.
