Man Tased, Arrested After Police Say He Stole Crossbow
WARSAW — Shortly after 2:30 p.m. today, Feb. 12, Kosciusko County Deputies were dispatched to 3501 West CR 100N, Warsaw, for a possible theft.
The caller reported that Dylan Stimeling, 24, had taken a crossbow from the residence and left the scene. Indiana Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Matthew Maher responded to the area and located Stimeling in a neighboring yard.
Stimeling, while holding the crossbow, refused to comply with Officer Maher’s orders. Stimeling eventually dropped the crossbow and began to briskly walk toward the City-County Athletic Complex. Stimeling was apprehended, following deployment of a conducted electrical weapon, by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies at the City-County Athletic Complex.
Stimeling was transported to the Kosciusko County Jail and held on a $750 cash bond for theft and resisting arrest.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
