Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
1:15 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, North CR 200E, south of East CR 900N, Leesburg. Driver: Jorge M. Colon Vidal, 46, Kuder Lane, Warsaw. Colon Vidal told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on CR 200S, when he said he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a pole. Damage up to $5,000.
10:32 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, North SR 19, north of West CR 75N, Etna Green. Drivers: David K. Jorgenson, 36, East Wood Lane, Rochester; David W. McConnell, 21, South High Street, Warsaw; Phillip C. Amburgy, 34, West 11th Street, Rochester. Jorgenson told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 19 when he said he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to collide with the vehicle driven by McConnell, which in turn collided with Amburgy’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
10:17 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, North SR 19 and West CR 75N, Etna Green. Drivers: Makayla M. Risten, 20, East Olson Road, Rochester; Patricia A. Wolf, 44, South Franklin Street, Mentone. Risten told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on SR 19 when her vehicle slid on the road surface and struck the vehicle driven by Wolf. Damage up to $10,000.
9:49 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, South SR 13, south of East CR 725S, Pierceton. Driver: Griffin S. Tucker, 41, Weimer Street, North Manchester. Tucker told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on SR 13 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
8:40 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, East CR 350N and North Airport Road, Warsaw. Driver: Coedy L. Slone, 18, Nye Street, Warsaw. Slone told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on Airport Road when when he said he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway and collide with some debris in a yard. Damage up to $5,000.
7:25 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, west CR 300N, north of North CR 800W, Warsaw. Driver: Jeremy G. Wilmot, 26, North Elm Street, Nappanee. Wilmot told police he was driving his vehicle northbound on CR 800W when he said he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $25,000.
7:24 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, West CR 200S, west of South Paxton Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kyndell L Shepherd, 20, Fisher Avenue, Warsaw. Shepherd told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on CR 200S when she said she lost control of her vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway, strike a wire fence and buried utility cable box. Damage up to $10,000.
7:22 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, East Armstrong Road, west of EMS T12 Lane, Leesburg. Driver: Olmos M. Concepcion, 39, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Concepcion told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Armstrong Road when he said he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, North CR 850E, north of East CR 250N, Pierceton. Drivers: Julie D. Swingle, 45, East CR 500N, Leesburg; James M. Rhodes, 53, South SR 13, Pierceton. Swingle told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on CR 850E when she entered a curved section of road and lost control of her vehicle, causing it to side-swipe the vehicle driven by Rhodes. Damage up to $10,000.
6:31 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, North CR 175E, south of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Emmanuel C. Laureano, 51, Buck Trail, Warsaw; Ryan P. Rapsavage, 30, North Beechwood Street, Warsaw. Laureano told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on CR 175E and began to slow down, not seeing the vehicle driven by Rapsavage. Laureano said he could stop his vehicle in time to avoid a collision. Damage up to $5,000.
Silver Lake
Officers from the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, CR 700S, west of CR 450W, Claypool. Driver: Emily R. Smith, 17, South CR 825W, Akron. Smith told police she was driving her vehicle westbound on CR 700S when she said she lost control of her vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:11 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, West North Street, south of North Main Street, Syracuse. Driver: Victor U. Hernandez, 55, Lighthouse Lane, Butler. Hernandez told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on North Main Street when he said he lost control of his vehicle on the slick road surface, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:17 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: William N. Harrell, 30, North Main Street, Bourbon. Harrell told police he was backing his vehicle out of a parking space and did not see a parked vehicle behind him, causing the collision. Damage up to $2,500.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, East Pierceton Road and South Packerton Road, Winona Lake. Driver: Ayden T. Ault, 16, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Ault told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on East Pierceton Road when he began to slow his vehicle, causing the tail to spin around and strike a mail box. Damage up to $2,500.
