Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, South Packerton Road and East CR 250S, Winona Lake. Driver: Todd Sloan, 62, Oriole Drive, Warsaw. Sloan told officers he turned his vehicle too quickly, striking a guide wire for a utility pole. Damages up to $2,500.
1:20 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, East Armstrong Road, east of North CR 200E, Leesburg. Driver: Lisa Calloway, 53, McGuire Road, Churubusco. Calloway’s vehicle struck a deer in the roadway. Damages up to $2,500.
7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6. SR 15 and West CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Erika Bice, 35, Bike Street, Bremen. Around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 7, officers were notified about a vehicle wrecked in a field with no one inside. Officers discovered Bice was the driver and contacted her. The accident occurred when the vehicle left the roadway, went down a steep incline, through a barbed wire fence through a cow pasture, through the other side of the barbed wire fence and struck and destroyed a pine tree. Bice told officers that the accident occurred when she swerved for an animal that ran in front of her vehicle. Damages up to $25,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:48 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 1000 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Ronald Hawk, 84, State Street, South Whitley. While backing up, Hawk’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle. The owner of the parked vehicle was not identified in the accident report. Damages up to $2,500.
