Warsaw Man Arrested For Threatening To Shoot Department Of Child Services Employees
WARSAW — At 3:41 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 5, Warsaw Police responded to the Department of Child Services, located in the 2300 block of East Center Street, for threats made over the phone to a caseworker.
Employees advised Anthony Geib, 34, Warsaw, threatened to come to the office in a bulletproof vest and shoot everyone in the building. Upon law enforcement arrival, Geib was engaged in a phone conversation with an employee, where he continued to make threatening comments. The Department of Child Services office and the Welfare office were both evacuated.
Warsaw Police detectives later made contact with Geib over the phone, which led to him turning himself into the Warsaw Police Department. Geib was subsequently booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of communication — intimidation, a level 6 felony. There is no bond listed at this time due to a prosecutor hold.
Warsaw Police were assisted by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Winona Lake Police Department, Silver Lake Police Department, Claypool Police Department and the Kosciusko County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
