Kosciusko Board Of Realtors Representatives Attend Indiana Association Of Realtors Legislative Conference
KOSCIUSKO — There’s a popular saying in politics that if you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. To ensure the Realtors are never on the menu, the Indiana Association of Realtors sponsors an annual legislative conference.
The conference is for Realtors from across Indiana to have the opportunity to speak with their state representatives plus network with other Realtors. On Jan. 28 and 29, three Kosciusko Board of Realtors representatives attended the IAR Legislative Conference.
Attendees were Linda Goshert, 2019 KBOR president and Kim Hart, both of Coldwell Banker The Real Estate Group; and Mark Skibowski, RE/MAX Lakes. The conference included panel discussions on legal topics Realtors should know in 2019. The panel included guests from the attorney general’s office and the Indiana Civil Rights Commission.
The state association’s headquarters is directly across the street from the Capital and proudly displays its Realtor sign in downtown Indianapolis. The attendees only had to cross the street to the Capital to meet with their state representatives. They also had the opportunity to sit in the gallery and observe the proceedings. The KBOR representatives were representing their profession, clients and community to assure their voice is heard by the state legislators.
