ISP Find Owner Of Dog Struck In Hit-And-Run
LAKE COUNTY — Indiana State Police have reunited an injured dog with its owner.
A trooper found the dog while on his way home Wednesday morning on East 109th Avenue just west of Miami Street in Winfield. A good Samaritan was already with the dog.
The dog had apparently been hit by a car that took off. The dog has some injuries to his rear extremities but is expected to survive. The dog was taken to a veterinarian for treatment.
On Wednesday afternoon, Indiana State Police announced that “Zinc” has been reunited with its owner. “Zinc will be okay!” police said.
