Grace Lands NorthWood’s Adams
NAPPANEE – Grace College has been busy pulling athletes from the area. It’s latest signee is NorthWood High School senior Gretchen Adams, who will head to Winona Lake to play tennis.
Coach Marcus Moore has signed Adams, who was a singles star for the Panthers. Adams stacked a 17-8 combined record at No. 2 and No. 3 singles (7-1 at No. 3) and has been a part of NorthWood’s back-to-back sectional championships. The Panthers finished 12-7 last season and reached the regional finals against rival Concord.
Adams is a three-year letterwinner in girls tennis and is also a three-year Scholar Athlete at NorthWood.
“I am very excited for Gretchen to play tennis at the next level,” said NorthWood tennis head coach Tif Schwartz. “She is a hard worker that is very determined when she is on the court. She played a big part in winning back-to-back sectionals and getting our team to the finals of the regionals.”
Moore helped Grace to one of its finest seasons in program history this past fall, finishing 14-4 and advancing to the semi-finals of the Crossroads League tournament.
