Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
7:11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, West CR 1350N, west of North CR 600W, Nappanee. Driver: Marc E. Earl, 46, North Elm Street, Silver Lake. Earl was traveling west on West CR 1350N when his vehicle lost traction. This caused his vehicle to leave the roadway, striking a utility pole owned by Nipsco. The utility pole was broken at the ground as a result of the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
4:41 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, North SR 13, south of East CR 900N, Syracuse. Drivers: Adrian P. Payne, 20, Old Colony Road, Warsaw; and Christopher A. McCrum, 29, Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Payne was traveling north on North SR 13 when he passed McCrum’s vehicle. As he did so, his vehicle lost traction, causing Payne’s vehicle to strike McCrum’s. Both vehicles went off the roadway, with Payne’s vehicle striking a fence. Damage up to $5,000.
4:41 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, West SR 25, west of South CR 600W, Burket. Driver: Donald R. Ramsey, 63, Jackson Boulevard, Rochester. Ramsey was traveling west on SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $10,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:48 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 13th Street, near College Avenue, Winona Lake. Drivers: Benjamin T. Bergen, 16, Pikeview Drive, Warsaw; and Jennifer L. Kruger, 36, South CR 500E, Pierceton. Bergen was turning right onto College Avenue when his vehicle slid, causing his vehicle to strike Kruger’s. Damage up to $2,500.
