Monday Night Accident Involved Ambulance, Drivers Urged To Use Caution
KOSCIUSKO — At 6:47 p.m. on Monday. Jan. 28, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a two-vehicle collision, involving a Lutheran EMS Kosciusko Ambulance on SR 15, north of Leesburg.
According to investigating deputies, the ambulance had initially been dispatched to an unknown injury crash. As the ambulance was stopped, with emergency lights activated, it was struck in the rear, by a northbound minivan.
The driver of the minivan lost control on the ice-covered roadway, prior to the collision. One crewmember of the ambulance was transported to the Kosciusko Community Hospital, for precautionary measures.
