Brent Eugene Hoffman
Brent Eugene Hoffman, 54, Silver Lake, passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at his residence.
He was born on April 15, 1964, in Rochester, to Patricia Ann (Kuhn) and Miles Eugene Hoffman. On June 7, 2003, he was married to Jessica Ann (Littlejohn) Hoffman, who survives.
He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where he was a 1982 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. During his high school years he was an outstanding football player and was the top male graduate of his class. He attended Ball State University and received his bachelor’s degree in 1987. He began his career in banking with Lake City Bank in Warsaw working in the commercial loans department. He served on the Kosciusko County Fair Board for ten years as the treasurer, and was very involved in many other community organizations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and was a great outdoorsman. Most of all he loved his family and will be dearly remembered as a very loving husband and father.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 15 years, Jessica Ann Hoffman, Silver Lake; two sons: Jacob and Brandon Hoffman, at home in Silver Lake; parents: Miles Eugene and Patricia Ann Hoffman, Silver Lake; and his brother: Troy (Susan) Hoffman, Silver Lake. He also leaves behind two nieces: Chelsea Brubaker and Jade Hoffman; one nephew: Noah Hoffman; and his grandmother: Jean Hatch, North Manchester. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Mary Hoffman and Neil Kuhn.
Friends and family can gather for a memorial visitation to be held from 3-7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
His memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Butch Troke of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church.
Memorial donations may be directed to Lake City Bank, P.O. Box 1387, Warsaw, IN 46581-1387 to go towards his son’s, Brandon Hoffman College Fund; or to Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, “Wheels on Fire Cancer Fund”, 9798 W. 1000 S., Akron, IN 46910 and would be appreciated by the family.
