Brent Eugene Hoffman of Silver Lake passed away on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019 at his residence at the age of 54.
He was born on April 15, 1964, in Rochester to Patricia Ann (Kuhn) and Miles Eugene Hoffman. On June 7, 2003, he was married to Jessica Ann (Littlejohn) Hoffman, who survives.
Hoffman was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana where he was a 1982 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School. During his high school years, he was an outstanding football player and was the top male graduate of his class. He attended Ball State University and received his bachelor’s degree in 1987. He began his career in banking with Lake City Bank in Warsaw working in the commercial loans department. Hoffman served on the Kosciusko County Fair Board for 10 years as the treasurer and was very involved in many other community organizations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was a great outdoorsman. Most of all he loved his family and will be dearly remembered as a very loving husband and father.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 15 years, Jessica Ann Hoffman, Silver Lake; two sons Jacob and Brandon Hoffman, Silver Lake; parents Miles Eugene and Patricia Ann Hoffman, Silver Lake; and his brother Troy (Susan) Hoffman, Silver Lake, Indiana. He also leaves behind two nieces Chelsea Brubaker and Jade Hoffman; one nephew Noah Hoffman; and his grandmother Jean Hatch, North Manchester.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Mary Hoffman and Neil Kuhn.
Friends and family can gather for a memorial visitation to be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
His memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home and officiated by Pastor Butch Troke of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church.
