UPDATE — Warsaw Woman Transported After Her Vehicle Severs Utility Pole
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital on Tuesday when the vehicle she was driving slid on a slick road surface, severed a utility pole and came to rest on its side.
The accident, which occurred at 1:19 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, on Fox Farm Road, west of Warsaw, involved Stephanie D. Hershberger, 45, 651 East Wildwood Drive, Warsaw. Police said Hershberger was driving her vehicle westbound on Fox Farm Road when her vehicle hit a slick spot in the roadway. Hershberger told police her vehicle began to slide and that she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and collided with a utility pole, severing the pole in half. Hershberger’s vehicle ended up on its side. Hershberger complained of shoulder and arm pain and was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment. Damage caused by the accident was estimated to be between $10,000 and $25,000.
