KOSCIUSKO — A Pierceton man was recently arrested after he exposed his genitals while resisting arrest.
Richard Lee Clutter, 44, 104 E. Church St., Pierceton, is being charged with public nudity, a class C misdemeanor, and resisting law enforcement, a class A misdemeanor.
On Jan. 7, an officer with the Pierceton Police Department received a call regarding a screaming man. The officer located the male subject on the front steps of his residence. The male, later identified as Clutter, advised that he had been yelling.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer asked for the subject’s identification and Clutter refused to provide it several times. Finally, Clutter began emptying his pockets and removed his wallet.
As the officer was running Clutter’s identification, Clutter began taking his pants off. The officer told Clutter to pull his pants back up. According to the officer, Clutter then pulled his underwear down, exposing his genitals.
The officer ordered Clutter to stand up to be placed under arrest several times but Clutter refused. Eventually, Clutter was arrested but later refused to take a portable breath test at the Kosciusko County Jail.
