Janella D. Lovellette
Janella D. Lovellette, 81, Syracuse, passed away at 2:42 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at her home. She was born on Jan. 21, 1938, in Wilshire, Ohio, to James H. and Viola F. (Heath) Stevens.
She grew up in Ohio and attended Convoy High School in Convoy, Ohio. She was married on June 24, 1956, in Dixon, Ohio, to Donald E. “Don” Lovellette, who survives and they moved to Syracuse in 1971 from Monroeville. She formerly worked at Johnson Controls in Monroeville, Sullivan Group in Nappanee, and was a cook at The Cove in Syracuse.
She was a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Syracuse.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Anita Carvajal, Van Wert, Ohio; Heidi Lovellette, Syracuse; son: Jeff (Deb) Lovellette, Milford; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Norman, North Manchester; three brothers: Gayle (Karen) Stevens, Van Wert, Ohio; Donald Stevens, Van Wert, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sherrie Black, granddaughter, Paula Lovellette, and three brothers: David, Paul and Howard Stevens.
Visitation will be from 2– 4 and 6– 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, in the funeral home with Pastor Stan Owen of the Syracuse Church of God officiating. Burial will follow in the Syracuse Cemetery.
