Altrusa International Of Warsaw Holds Meeting With Two New Members
WARSAW — Altrusa International of Warsaw hosted Altrusa International’s District Six Director Angela Beck at their meeting on Jan. 17 at Richard’s Restaurant.
Beck enthusiastically invited members to the upcoming District Six Conference to be held April 5 to 9 in Muncie and informed the club of other news and events.
Membership Chair Julie Patton-Hall invited two new members into the Club during the meeting. Cathy Cox, sponsored by Club President Bev Faulkner; and Paula Shalley, sponsored by Barbara Frye, received their pins and badges along with a hearty welcome from Club members. The Club is proud to be growing; they have initiated 11 members in recent months and will initiate another in February.
Altrusa members are finalizing plans for their third annual spring bazaar to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Wyndham Gardens Banquet Center and Ballroom, located at 2517 and 2519 E. Center St., Warsaw. The bazaar has no admission fee and door prizes will be given away. Over 30 vendors will make available their amazing crafts and one-of-a-kind gifts. A bake sale will be featured as well. Vendor applications may be received by e-mailing [email protected]. Additional information about the bazaar and the Club’s local service projects may be found on the Club’s Facebook page. Proceeds will fund the Club’s local service projects.
The Club’s next meeting will take place at KREMC, located at 370 S. CR 250E, Warsaw, at noon Thursday, Feb. 7. Anyone interested in learning more about becoming involved in service in the community are welcome to attend.
