AGT Hopeful Mark Allen To Record Live Show For Audition
FORT WAYNE — A local musician will be creating the final piece of his audition package for one of the country’s most popular television talent shows — and he wants local people to be a part of it.
“I want to invite everyone to the show to be part of the last video for America’s Got Talent,” said guitarist, singer and songwriter Mark Allen.
Allen, 50, has been advancing through the show’s multiple auditioning layers in hopes of being featured on the show next season. For the final element of his tryout portfolio, Allen will perform live at Flashbacks in Fort Wayne, backed by local rock band A Sick World. The show, to include the audience, will be videotaped and submitted to America’s Got Talent recruiters. The show starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26.
“These guys are awesome being my support band,” said Allen of his supporting band, which usually plays throughout northern Indiana, specializing in modern rock.
“These guys have been great learning my material and letting me join them on stage,” said Allen. “I can’t thank them enough.”
A Sick World consists of Michelle Gilruth on vocals, Randy Tucker on guitar and vocals, Brandon Bussard on drums and Jaron Clark on bass and vocals.
Allen will be performing and taping a set of his own original rock material that has propelled him through the first several stages of the auditioning process.
Flashbacks is located at 4201 N. Wells Street in Fort Wayne.
