Peter W. Wuchter
Peter W. “Pete” Wuchter, 86, Warsaw, passed away at 10:06 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. He was born April 25, 1932, in Kosciusko County to Peter L. and Weltha (Simison) Wuchter.
A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, he was united in marriage to Martha Seitner in Warsaw on May 1, 1955. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1955 as a Corporal, Company A, 2nd Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marie Division during the Korean Conflict. He was formerly the longtime owner of Pete’s Barber Shop of Warsaw and employed by Zimmer, Inc from 1972 to 1997 with 25 years of service as a Polisher and Instructor. In addition, he was a former member of the American Legion Post #49 and the First Brethren Church, both of Warsaw.
Survivors include his wife Martha Wuchter of Warsaw, children Peter “Wendell” Wuchter of Warsaw, Amber (spouse Tom) Humphreys of Marino Valley, Ca, Trent (spouse Jeanette) Wuchter of Warsaw, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded by five sisters.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Funeral Chapel with Ken Locke officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post #49 and V.F.W. Post #1126 both of Warsaw.
