Julia M. Timbers
Julia M. Timbers, 88, Rochester passed away at 6:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, at Heritage Point of Warren.
On Jan. 12, 1931, Julia was born in Magoffin County, Ohio to Kenneth and Eva Allen Owens. She was one of 14 children.
Julia and Robert L. Timbers were married on Oct. 5, 1948, in Rochester. They shared 62 years of life’s adventures. Sadly, he passed away on April 9, 2010.
As entrepreneurs, Julia and Bob were the owners of the A&W Drive-In for 17 years and the Hamburger Hut for four years. They were also the former managers of The Streamliner of Rochester.
The memories of Julia will be cherished by a daughter, Connie Gunter and husband Russell of Star City; a son, Mark Timbers and wife Marsha of Huntington; a son-in-law, Kenneth Slisher of Robinson, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Julia in death are her parents, husband, a daughter, Sandra Slisher, and seven sisters including Daisey Stone, Nora Lee Hicks, Margaret May, Polly Haines, Maxine Meade, Dorothy McCallister, and six Owens brothers, including James, Williams, and Steve.
Pastor Kenneth Slisher will officiate services. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
