BREAKING — First Responders Work To Free Entrapped Motorist
WARSAW — At least one person was trapped in a maroon Ford sport utility vehicle on Fox Farm Road Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 22 as the vehicle went out of control on slick road conditions, severed a utility pole and came to rest on its side.
Battling freezing temperatures, firefighters from the Warsaw Fire Department surrounded the vehicle to free the female occupant as personnel on the scene radioed back to Central Dispatch to request salt be applied to the road.
The utility pole dangled by its power lines as first responders worked underneath the lines to make the rescue. The accident occurred at 2361 North Fox Farm Road west of Warsaw. Also responding to the accident were personnel from Lutheran EMS, Warsaw Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.
