Kosciusko
Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
10:06 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, West CR 700S, west of South CR 600W, Claypool. Driver: Tracee L. Terrell, 30, East South Street, Burket. Terrell told police she was driving his vehicle eastbound on CR 700S when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, North SR 13, south of North CR 650E, Syracuse. Driver: Bianca N. Rocha, 22, East Pixie Parkway, Cromwell. Rocha told police she was driving her vehicle southbound on SR 13 when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a mailbox. Damage up to $2,500.
12:43 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, West SR 14, west of South CR 750W, Silver Lake. Driver: Ronnie L. Patrick, 65, East CR 600S, Claypool. Patrick told police he was driving his vehicle eastbound on SR 14 when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle Damage up to $5,000.
11:56 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, East Harper Road, west of East CR 700N, Leesburg. Driver: Coleman T. Rude, 25, North CR 700W, Silver Lake. Rude told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on CR 700N when his vehicle left the roadway, struck several large pine trees and also struck a barn, causing damage to the barn’s foundation. Damage up to $10,000.
5:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, South Packerton Road and East Blossom Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Treasure A. Hood, 34, Trailside Drive, Winona Lake. Hood told police she was driving her vehicle northbound on Packerton Road when a deer entered the roadway. She told police she was unable to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle Damage up to $5,000.
1 p.m. Saturday Jan. 12, South SR 15 and West CR 350S, Warsaw. Driver: John D. Zolman, 42, West CR 700S, Claypool. Zolman told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on SR 15 when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike some small trees and an earth embankment. Damage up to $5,000.
Pierceton
Officers from the Pierceton Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:04 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, Pierceton Road, act of CR 600E, Pierceton. Driver: Gregory R. Wetters, 51, East High Circle Drive, Warsaw. Wetters told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Pierceton Road and did not know an accident had occurred. He said he drove past a vehicle in the ditch and did not see a utility pole lying in the road, causing him to hit the pole with his vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
7:51 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, Pierceton Road, east of CR 600E, Pierceton. Driver: Victoria A. Moyer, 21, South Village Street, Pierceton. Moyer told police she was driving her vehicle eastbound on Pierceton Road when several deer entered the roadway. She said she swerved her vehicle to avoid hitting the deer, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole. Damage up to $10,000.
Silver Lake
Officers from the Silver Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
6:46 Friday, Jan. 18, Packerton Road, south of SR 14, Silver Lake. Driver: Jason K. Lyons, 45, South SR 524, Lagro. Lyons told police he was driving his vehicle southbound on Packerton Road when a deer entered the roadway. He told police he was unable to avoid hitting the deer with his vehicle Damage up to $2,500.
Syracuse
Officers from the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:54 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, South Huntington Street, Syracuse. Driver: Karen L. Cory, 77, East CR 1300N, Syracuse. Cory told police she was pulling her vehicle out of a parking spot and accelerated, not knowing the wheels on her vehicle were turned, causing her vehicle to turn into a stop sign. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers from the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
7:27 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, Frontage Road, Warsaw. Alejandro Lopez, Winona Lake, told police he parked his vehicle in the parking lot of Workout Anytime. He said he must have hit the remote start, because the vehicle, which has a manual transmission and was parked in gear, was not where he parked it when he came out of the building. He told police his vehicle had traveled into a field, side-swiping another car on the way. Damage up to $2,500.
5:45 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, East Market Street, north of South Johnson Street, Warsaw. Driver: Cody W. Sprague, 25, South Sherman Street, Warsaw. Sprague told police he was driving his vehicle westbound on Winona Avenue when a white Ford pickup truck slid into the intersection in front of him. He said he swerved on the slick road surface to avoid a collision and struck a light pole. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers from the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
3:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, Presidential and Wooster Road, Winona Lake. Drivers: Arthur F. Bushen, 66, East Wade Road, Warsaw; Valentin E. Tlahuel, 20, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Bushen told police he was plowing snow with his vehicle and did not see Tlahuel’s vehicle behind him. He backed his vehicle into Tlahuel’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
