The Milford Public Library board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in the meeting room. Board meetings are open to the public. Attend a meeting and learn how the board navigates ongoing business at the library. The Annual Board of Finance meeting will follow the regular meeting.
ADULT READING CLUB DRAWING
A drawing will be held Friday, Jan. 25, so make sure to visit the library and select some great books that correspond with choices on your BINGO card. The club is for adults 18 and older. You can read hardback books, ebooks or listen to audiobooks. Each time you BINGO, you can enter a weekly drawing for a prize. No library card needed. Sign up at the adult circulation desk. The Adult Reading Program will continue until March 30, 2019, so you have plenty of time to win.
HOT COCOA BAR FOR ADULT READING PROGRAM
January is coming to an end and so is our hot cocoa bar. Make sure to stop in this Friday to get some before it’s too late. Beginning in February, there will be a chocolate treat for Adult Reading Club participants. No library card needed. Stop by the adult circulation desk for your cup of hot cocoa.
STORY TIME RETURNS IN TWO WEEKS
Story Time sessions for children ages 3 to 6 years old return in two weeks on Feb. 6. Story Time prepares children for preschool and enables them to develop social, language, and literacy skills. Children will create crafts, listen to stories and enjoy a snack.
Winter sessions begin at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, or at 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Themes include Keeping Warm Outside, Keeping Warm Inside; Valentine’s Day; Eskimos, Penguins and Polar Bears; Winter Sports; and Celebrate Mo Willems. No library card is needed.
