Kevin Ray Prentice
Kevin Ray Prentice, 62, Kendallville, passed away at 5:07 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Parkview Noble Hospital. He was born on Jan. 1, 1957, the son of Ivan and Maxine (Cook) Prentice. On June 8, 2002, he married Sarah Zumbrun; she survives.
He was a 1975 graduate of West Noble High School, worked as a agriculture mechanic for many years, and was an active member of Etna United Methodist Church. He loved participating and attending antique tractor pulls, fishing, going to church, and anything mechanical.
He survived by his wife, Sarah Zumbrun of Kendallville; four children: a brother, Brian (Mindy) Prentice of Kimmell; two-stepchildren, Brandon Zumbrun of Kendallville; and Shawn (Heather) Counts of Warsaw; a granddaughter, Arianna; nieces and nephews, Nick, Jeff, Roger, and Katie; along with six great nieces and four great-nephews; mother and father-in-law, Thomas and Almeda Zumbrun of Millersburg; and last but not least, his grandogs, Studly and Hot Dog. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held in Kevin’s honor at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Jerry L. Burghduff will officiate. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier following the services.
Family and friends will be received from 4-6 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home prior to the service on Wednesday.
