WPD Released Video Of Friday’s Armed Robbery Of Check Into Cash
WARSAW — The Warsaw Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday afternoon at the Check Into Cash, located at 2596 Walton Blvd., Warsaw.
The department released a video of the suspect entering the store during the robbery. Photos of the video are attached and the whole video can be viewed here.
At 2:52 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, Central Dispatch received a 911 call from an employee at the Check Into Cash advising the store had just been robbed at gunpoint and the suspect had fled the area on foot. The suspect was described as a male wearing a maroon and gray hoodie with white drawstrings, blue jeans, black and white shoes and a bright red winter hat used as a mask.
The suspect brandished a black handgun before fleeing the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. Witnesses observed the male run northbound from the store and cross over the large dirt mounds located northwest of Check Into Cash.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the subject.
