Warsaw Man Faces Strangulation, Battery Charges
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after Warsaw City Police were dispatched to a home in reference to a battery.
Philip Mark Snodderly Jr., 41, 1142 N. Shagbark Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with strangulation and domestic battery causing moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Friday, Dec. 28, officers with the Warsaw City Police Department were sent to a residence to investigate a battery report. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the female victim, who had a swollen cheek and blood coming from her nose.
The female stated that Snodderly had been staying at her residence. She told officers that she was asleep in her bedroom when she was woken up by Snodderly in her room. According to the female, Snodderly refused to leave her room and the female stated she used her foot to push him away from her.
The female said Snodderly then began battering her, at one point hitting her in the nose and on the cheek. The female said Snodderly also used his arm to squeeze her neck, making it difficult for her to breathe. The female said Snodderly then left the residence.
An Indiana State Trooper was able to locate Snodderly, who was placed under arrest. The trooper noticed redness on the knuckle area of Snodderly’s hands and detected an odor of alcohol.
Snodderly Jr. was booked at the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Friday, Dec. 28, on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
