Kosciusko Realtors And Affiliates: Proud Supporters Of Kosciusko Community Senior Services
KOSCIUSKO — Each year the Kosciusko Board of Realtors and its affiliate members take the opportunity at their annual Christmas party to embrace and support a local Kosciusko County charity.
At this year’s annual party, held at the Tippecanoe Lake Country Club on Dec. 7, monies were raised from both a silent and live auction on behalf of Kosciusko Community Senior Services. KBOR representatives were honored to present David Neff, KCSS executive director, a check for $8,325. In addition to the proceeds of the auctions, attendees of the party donated $830 in gas gift cards for KCSS’ senior handicapped van transportation needs. Between the auctions and gas gift cards, a grand total of $9,155 was raised in one evening.
KCSS’ three major programs are Mobile Meals, Handicapped Van Transportation and a Senior Activity Center. They provide over 35,000 mobile meals each year. Their van transportation provides over 14,000 rides each year. Their priorities are medical, nutrition and other professional, personal services. All of these programs have been in operation for well over 20 years. KCSS’ services and goals fall right in line with KBOR’s belief that Kosciusko County is made stronger when we work together as partners with organizations such as KCSS to assist and support fellow citizens in their time of need.
