Joan L. Baker
Joan L. Baker, 76, Warsaw, passed away at 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2019, at her home. She was born on November 21, 1942, in Middleboro, Mass. to Herbert and Roberta (Provonche) Thomas.
She grew up in Massachusetts, graduated from Middleboro High School, and moved to the North Webster area in 1977 from Muncie. She was married on Dec. 17, 1984, in Warsaw, to Charles E. “Charlie” Baker who survives. She retired from Kimble Glass in Warsaw after 25 years.
She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster.
She is survived by her husband; two daughters: Sherri (Allen) Coy, Syracuse; Wendy (Jack) Bentz, Fort Wayne; three sons: Kevin Ogburn, Syracuse; Rick (LaDonna) Ogburn; Chuck Obburgn, both of North Webster; former daughter-in-law, Deanna Ogburn; 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Jason Coy, granddaughter, Amanda Coy, sister, Margaret Thompson, two brothers, Robert and Herbert Thomas.
Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR15, Warsaw.
