TACOMA, WASH. — According to The News Tribune, the deaths of a former Warsaw couple have been ruled a homicide-suicide by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office. Evidence shows that Mary Hoffer, 41, died by strangulation and Thomas Tuggle, 37, died of a gunshot wound.
Police in Tacoma found the bodies of Tuggle and Hoffer at their apartment in Tacoma, Wash., on Jan. 4 Police found the bodies after they received a request to check on Hoffer. A caller expressed concern about the woman when she missed a meeting, the report said.
Police believe Tuggle beat and strangled Hoffer during a fight before killing himself.
