WCPL Announces January Happenings
WARSAW — The following programs are set to take place in January at the Warsaw Community Public Library.
Resume classes
WorkOne is hosting a variety of computer and resume/interviewing classes during the month. Please call or go online for times. Registration is preferred.
Chess Club
Chess Club meets from 10 a.m. to noon every Saturday. Friends of the Library meet Monday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m.
Drop In Zone
Drop In Zone, featuring video games, and virtual reality is Wednesday, Jan. 2. Teens in grades 6-12 play 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Adults play 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.
Family Movie
Enjoy a new family movie Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. Please call or go online for title, rated PG. Raiders of the Lost Locker Escape Room every hour from 2 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 3.
Cookbook Club
Cookbook Club meets at 11 am Monday, Jan. 7. This month’s topic is, “Vegan/Vegetarian.” Rachel Kruger teaches how to make Felted Magnets on Jan. 7 at 5:30 p.m. Registration required.
Make A Snowman
Make a snowman Jan 8 at 5:30 p.m. with Marjorie Kennedy from Sweet Annie’s Basketry. Registration required.
Computer Clinic
Computer Clinic meets 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, and 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30. Participants can bring their electronics for assistance.
Pokémon Club
Pokémon Club meets at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9. Participants can play the Pokémon trading card game or bring cards to display and trade.
Quilt Club
The Lake City Piecemakers quilt club meets at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11.
Writer’s Club
Writers Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. This month’s topics are snow and winter and New Years and resolutions.
Yarn Club
Yarn Club meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15. Participants will learn to knit or crochet and share patterns and advice.
New Year, New You
New Year, New You will be presented by Purdue Extension Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. Registration required.
Animal Stories
Amber Utter from Fur & Feather Tails, will be story sharing with her animals on Jan. 19 from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.
Retirement Planning
New Generation retirement planning seminar will be held Jan. 22 and Jan. 23, both at 6 p.m.
Virtual Reality
Patrons are invited to experience virtual realty on Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. The program is provided for participants ages 18 years and older.
Make It And Take It
Make a Bottle Snowman will be the project at Make it and Take it Crafts, Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. The class is free, but registration is required.
Bingo
Bingo at the library will be held Jan. 25 at 2 p.m.
Nutrition Program
Nutrition with Sue Delagrange will be held Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. This month’s topic is “Intermittent Fasting.”
Card Making
Card Making with Faith will be held Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. Registration required.
Minecraft For Teens
Teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to play Minecraft at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29.
