Kids Can Bring Stuffed Animals To North Webster Library For Sleepover
NORTH WEBSTER — Children are invited to the Stuffed Animal Sleepover at North Webster Community Public Library Jan. 4, 2019. Participants are encouraged to bring their stuffed animals or dolls to the Youth Department at 5 p.m. for Evening Story Time; then leave their toy friends overnight at the library.
Parents can bring the kids back the next morning between 10 a.m. and noon to pick up their toys and watch a slide show of their overnight adventures. Participants will be amazed at the mischief those stuffed animals get into. Juice and donuts will be served Saturday morning while the kids watch the sleepover antics.
Adults who love a mystery are invited to participate in the library’s Mystery Marathon that begins Jan. 2, 2019, and runs through Feb. 28. Participants must register to play at the circulation desk and select an alias name to play under. They can read any type of mystery book, e-book or audio book from North Webster Library’s collection or any other Evergreen library. Five points are awarded for each book read and submitted; plus bonus points will be awarded for attending the library’s monthly Voyager Book Club 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 and Feb. 25.
Point standings will be posted twice during the contest with the winner announced on March 1. Contest rules and details are available at the circulation desk. Bring out your inner sleuth and play Mystery Marathon.
On Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 6:30 p.m., professional magician Tyler Sherwin will perform in the North Webster Community banquet hall. A Pierceton native, Sherwin has appeared on the television competition “America’s Got Talent” and will be taking his act to Las Vegas after his North Webster performance. Sponsored by North Webster Library, the show is free and open to the public.
The library will be closed all day New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 and New Year’s Day, Jan 1. It will re-open at 10 a.m. Jan. 2.
