John George McGuire, 18, 2715 E. Lake Tahoe Trail, Warsaw, is charged with battery, a class B misdemeanor.
According to police, officers with the Warsaw Police Department were called to Eastgate Apartments on Nov. 27, to respond to a fight in progress.
A Warsaw Community Schools bus driver told police that a male and female had attacked two females who had disembarked from a bus at the apartment complex.
Police reported that they interviewed two females, one of them a minor, who were sitting on a front step to one of the apartments and reported noticing one of the females had a welt and blood on her forehead, while the other was wearing wet and dirty clothing.
Police reported that the two females initially did not wish to report who had battered them. Police reported they changed their minds and told officers that the woman with a welt on her forehead had been attacked by a female acquaintance the moment she disembarked from the school bus.
The girl with wet and dirty clothing told officers that she attempted to intervene, but was grabbed and thrown to the ground by McGuire.
The two females told officers that shortly thereafter, McGuire and the female who had allegedly started the fight left in a dark green Chrysler Pacifica.
