Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
7:12 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, West SR 10, west of North SR 19, Etna Green. Driver: Scott A. Williams, 45, SR 331, Bourbon. Williams was traveling west on SR 10 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
6:23 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, North CR 300W, south of West CR 550N, Warsaw. Driver: Desiree A. Schwartz, 32, West CR 550N, Warsaw. Schwartz was traveling north on West CR 300N when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
5:45 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, East CR 500N, west of EMS T7 Lane, North Webster. Driver: David W. Pemberton, 54, East CR 500N, Leesburg. Pemberton was traveling west on CR 500N when a deer ran into the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
1:43 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, North CR 200E, north of East CR 900N, Milford. Driver: Darryl E. Fisher, 45, South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Fisher was traveling south on CR 200E when he swerved his vehicle to avoid a vehicle that was driving left of center. This caused Fisher’s vehicle to strike guide wires attached to a power pole. The vehicle driving left of center did not stop and continued northbound. Damage up to $10,000.
10:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, East CR 700N, west of North CR 300E, Leesburg. Driver: Raymond Long, 81, East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Long was traveling south on North CR 300E when his vehicle impacted a guardrail, crossed the road, and left the roadway. Long was unsure what happened, and EMS was called to the scene to check on the driver. Damage up to $10,000.
6:02 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, South SR 15, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Renee L. LaRue, 30, West CR 800S, Claypool. LaRue was traveling north on South SR 15 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
5:28 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, East CR 1000S, near South CR 700E, Warsaw. Driver: Matthew P. Rodgers, 24, South CR 600E, Pierceton. Rodgers was traveling east on CR 1000S when he went straight through an intersection, causing his vehicle to leave the roadway. Rodgers’ vehicle then struck a number of smaller trees. Rodgers said he did not know the road came to a T-intersection. Damage up to $25,000.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident:
9:22 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, North Higbee Street, near Sixth Street, Milford. Drivers: Ryan M. McLaughlin, 21, Wooster Road 63, Winona Lake; and Kenneth S. Nielsen, 29, Camfield Drive, Indianapolis. McLaughlin was traveling north on Higbee Street when he rear-ended Nielsen’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
10:07 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 624 N. Main St., North Webster. Drivers: Christina L. Rangel, 30, East Hawthorn Drive, Warsaw; and Steven H. Wright, 74, North Turkey Creek Road 402, Syracuse. Rangel was backing from a parking space when she struck Wright’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
3:44 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, Silveus Crossing, north of Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Marla J. Hendrix, 49, Cedar Road, Bourbon. Hendrix was traveling north on Silveus Crossing when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
5:17 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, Husky Trail, near Mariners Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Gage E. Webb, 23, South Market Street, Burket; and Christina H. Merrill, 33, Shell Bark Lane, Warsaw. Webb was traveling north on Husky Trail when he rear-ended Merrill’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
4:37 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, South Scott Street, north of East Market Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Aunthony D. Henley, 23, Kuder Lane, Warsaw; and Francisca L. Stambaugh, 68, South Mallard Road, Mentone. Henley was traveling east on East Market Street when he drove through an intersection, striking Stambaugh’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
