On Dec. 2, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a battery complaint at a local gas station. A witness stated she observed two females arguing. When the witness was done pumping her gas, she looked up and saw one of the women, later identified as Harrington, hitting the victim as the victim laid unconscious on the ground.
The officer then spoke with the victim, who stated she didn’t see who knocked her unconscious but it could have been Harrington.
Another witness told the officer that she observed Harrington hitting the victim while on top of her. The witnessed advised that when Harrington got up, the victim was not moving. A third witness also confirmed these statements.
The officer spoke with Harrington, who advised she hit the victim on the head because the victim hit her on the head.
The victim was transported to Goshen Hospital where she was treated for head injuries.
Harrington was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 2, and has an initial court hearing on Dec. 20.
