Walter Lee Brazel
Walter Lee Brazel, 80, Ligonier, passed away Dec. 10, 2018, at North Ridge Village Nursing and Rehab in Albion. He was born on Oct. 26, 1938, in Syracuse, to Russell and Katherine Marie (Bair) Brazel. He married Anne L. Waterson on July 29, 1961, in the Methodist Church in Ligonier.
He is survived by his wife, Anne L. Brazel of Ligonier; sons, Michael Wayne (Stacey) Brazel of Kokomo; Chris (Deb) Brazel of Ligonier; daughter, Cheryl Anne (Mike) North of Wolcottville; grandchildren, Krystal, Trinton, Laurel, Emily, Zachery, Zander, Tanner, Brennen, Khyleigh; great-granddaughter, Selah; brother, Jack (Lyn) Brazel of Cromwell; sister, Lexie (Gene) Dusler of Cromwell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, golf, traveling to livestock shows with his children and grandchildren and sporting events. He also had a passion for his grandchildren and everything they did. Grandpa was always in their corner, and he was always cheering them on.
A funeral service will be held in Walter’s honor at 10 a.m.,Friday, Dec.14, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Doug Keenan will officiate. Burial will take at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
Family and friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Jimmy V. Foundation 14600 Weston Pkwy, Cary, North Carolina 27513.
